Perspective Check.

‘If God gives such attention to the wildflowers and the grass of the field, which is here today and gone tomorrow, won't he care much more for you?’ (Matt. 6:8)

While our eyes go to the wildflowers, His eyes are on us. We cannot create a wildflower, we don’t even plant them. God sent breezes and birds to scatter seeds, He sent rain and sun and grew the flowers. His word says He whistles for the bee and it comes, from one end of the earth to the other. The needs of a single flower are provided for, don’t you think he will provide for you, His baby?!

Likely, we cannot make a sunset happen nor do we earn it. He orchestrates them solely for our enjoyment because He delights to give us gifts, no strings attached. 

We marvel at the vastness of the ocean or the colorful trees in the October sun…He marvels at the look upon our face, the flutter of our heart. If He, who loves us dearly, is constantly luring us in with these extra things we do not need to survive and yet make our faces light up, won’t He care for that heavy thing sitting in your soul? 

Just pause for a moment, sister, to reflect on how the same God who created the heavens and the earth, the one who cares to put teensy tiny detail into flowers so often unnoticed - He chose every detail about you. Again, YOU are his baby!!!!! He withholds no good thing from you.

You may point to any one thing in all of creation and it is unsearchably less significant in God’s eyes than you are. 

You are His wildflower. 🌾
